Pending Ice Storm
There’s nothing quite like finishing dinner the night before your boyfriend’s arrival from London and seeing that the weather is suddenly predicting an ice storm for the next day.
Nothing like a potential 12 hours of freezing rain to cause panic over whether the Scot can arrive and whether we’ll be able to pick him up. Since driving on ice covered highways in an ice covered car to meet an ice covered plane doesn’t appeal to me.
Of course it could all just not happen. It could just rain, his plane might not be delayed, or diverted, and we might be able to drive on nice wet but not icy roads to pick him up. But that’s not what they’re predicting.
“They” are showing us pictures of some weather system that’s worked its way down to us from New Brunswick and is now going to get pushed back up into New Brunswick. So over Nova Scotia the warm New Brunswick air meets the cold ocean air and kaboom we get freezing rain!
Welcome to Canada the Scot! If you can manage to get here!

I used to be in a long distance relationship and I hated it when we had snow and sleet. It cancelled a few of our trips to see each other. We lived two hours away from each other.
