So yesterday the tree went up.  We use a fake tree because I am allergic to the real thing.  My sister HATES this fact (the fake tree not the allergy), but she’s not allowed to argue it, since a sneezing, fainting sister outweighs the ‘its not traditional’ argument.

I love the fake tree concept.  A nice one looks real but lets you rearrange the branches to cover any possible holes.  This is great, real trees have way too many holes.  I can complain about real trees because our family grows them (yes there really are working Christmas tree farms out there), so if it grows wrong - its our fault!

Mom did a good job on the tree this year, she’s finally able to not use all the old ornaments that we made in elementary school and can use her preferred ornaments of angels and birds, and the tree looks great.  Donna thought so when she tried to get an angel of the tree and got her paw stuck.  She had to admire that tree for quite some time until we noticed and got her unstuck.

Having the tree up, and the nativity scene out is just making this place feel like Christmas really is coming…its nice to have that feeling, since its my favourite time of year and all.  Now if the snow would just come back everything would be perfect!
