Doing my Happy Dance!!
Well I stayed home from Church today to finish my first ever novel. And I finished it!! So I’m now doing my personal happy dance, which is entertaining the cat and dog to no end. Its fun to be dancing and smiling and giggling when there is no one around. Makes you feel rather self conscious.
At least for me NaNoWriMo helped me reach a goal. And I am thrilled with the story, so now its editing and querying and maybe selling the novel!!
My parents will of course be thrilled when they get home, and then Dad will say something along the lines of “time to start on the next one.” Dad is nothing if not practical. Mind you this is the same person who taught me how to flip crackers in my mouth - so he has his redeeming qualities.
Time to go continue my happy dance - yay me! I feel vindicated in sitting on my parents couch doing what seems like nothing. Of course I’ll feel even better if I can get the book a publisher!
